Acupuncture has been recognized as a supportive therapy for various aspects of women’s health, including fertility. By focusing on balancing the body’s energy (Qi) and enhancing overall well-being, acupuncture aims to address issues related to reproductive health and support natural conception.

How Acupuncture Supports Fertility

Regulating Menstrual Cycles
• Acupuncture helps regulate menstrual cycles by balancing hormones and improving blood flow to the reproductive organs. This can help address irregular cycles, anovulation, and other menstrual disorders.

Enhancing Ovarian Function
• By stimulating specific acupuncture points, acupuncture can support ovarian health, improving egg quality and ovarian reserve, which are crucial for conception.

Improving Uterine Health
• Acupuncture promotes healthy blood flow to the uterus, creating a more favorable environment for embryo implantation and sustaining a healthy pregnancy.

Supporting Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART)
• For individuals undergoing treatments such as IVF or IUI, acupuncture can be used in conjunction with these therapies to improve outcomes. It is believed to enhance the effectiveness of ART by improving blood flow to the reproductive organs and reducing stress.

Reducing Stress and Improving Emotional Well-being
• Stress can negatively impact fertility. Acupuncture helps reduce stress and anxiety, which can create a more conducive environment for conception and support overall emotional health.

At our clinic, we combine facial cosmetic acupuncture with full-body clinical acupuncture based on two core principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) — and in alignment with Canadian insurance and tax guidelines.

1️⃣ True Beauty Begins Within
Facial health reflects internal balance.
In TCM, it is said that “what manifests on the face originates from within.”
Concerns such as dull skin, acne, puffiness, or premature aging often arise from internal disharmony — such as digestive weakness, liver stagnation, or poor circulation.
That’s why every cosmetic acupuncture session begins with full-body acupuncture.
By regulating the internal organs, balancing Qi and blood, and relieving stress, we help restore harmony within your body — allowing your skin’s natural radiance to shine from the inside out.
This holistic approach not only improves your skin’s appearance but also promotes deeper, longer-lasting results.

2️⃣ Insurance & Billing Information
• Clinical Acupuncture (50–60 minutes):
Focuses on addressing underlying health conditions (e.g., pain, stress, digestion, menstruation).
This portion qualifies as a medical treatment and is eligible for acupuncture insurance coverage, subject to the limits of your plan.
• Cosmetic Facial Acupuncture (25–30 minutes):
Considered a non-medical, aesthetic service and may not be covered by insurance.
It is subject to 13% HST, as required by Canadian tax law for non-medical services.
• LED Light Therapy (Dermalux Flex MD):
A professional-grade aesthetic therapy that enhances collagen production, skin tone, and recovery.
This service may not be eligible for insurance, and HST applies.

Acupuncture for Cancer Prognosis and Supportive Care

Acupuncture is increasingly recognized as a supportive therapy for cancer patients, helping to manage symptoms, alleviate side effects, and improve overall quality of life. By integrating traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) principles, acupuncture provides a holistic approach to cancer care, complementing conventional treatments and supporting recovery.

How Acupuncture Supports Cancer Prognosis

Managing Treatment Side Effects
• Acupuncture can help alleviate common side effects of cancer treatments such as chemotherapy and radiation. These include nausea, vomiting, fatigue, pain, and neuropathy. By targeting specific acupuncture points, it aims to reduce discomfort and enhance patient well-being.

Enhancing Immune Function
• Acupuncture supports the immune system by improving overall energy levels and vitality. This can help patients better cope with the stresses of cancer treatments and promote a more robust immune response.

Reducing Stress and Improving Emotional Well-being
• The emotional toll of cancer can be significant. Acupuncture helps reduce stress, anxiety, and depression by stimulating points that promote relaxation and emotional balance, contributing to a better overall quality of life.

Improving Sleep Quality
• Many cancer patients experience disrupted sleep patterns. Acupuncture can help improve sleep quality, which is crucial for recovery and maintaining overall health.

Facilitating Post-Treatment Recovery
• In the post-treatment phase, acupuncture aids in recovery by addressing lingering symptoms, improving energy levels, and supporting rehabilitation. It can also help manage any ongoing discomfort and support a smoother transition to recovery.

Acupuncture for Weight Management (R. Ac)

Acupuncture may assist in balancing hormones, improving digestion, and regulating metabolism by stimulating specific points on the body. Studies suggest that by addressing underlying causes of weight gain, such as stress, poor digestion, and hormonal imbalances, acupuncture could help individuals achieve and maintain a healthy weight.

Meet Chestnut

My name is Chestnut. I flew all the way from China to Canada with Nicole. Yes — I’m Chinese.

Jerried chose me because when he first saw me at the pet store, he thought I ran like a little dog. Personally, I don’t like him very much. When he gets too close, I scratch his head. (This might explain why he doesn’t have much hair on top anymore.) I also once bit a very expensive pair of work pants he wore to the clinic.

Most of the time, I lie on the couch with Nicole and watch Korean romantic TV dramas together. I have a bad temper. When I’m unhappy, I may even pee on Nicole — something warm and very intentional. But I love her.

Every morning, the first thing I do is go downstairs by myself to the basement floor drain to pee. My pee is extremely effective at keeping insects and mice away.

My stomach isn’t great, and honestly, that’s Jerried’s fault. He once fed me way too many wedding candies from their marriage. Still, to be fair, he does give me massages quite often.

The “C” in JCJ is my name. And if you don’t like JCJ’s service, you’re welcome to email us and complain directly to Jerried.

They’re actually very nice people.

Meet Cooper

Hello everyone, my name is Cooper. Because I ran very fast, the shelter gave me this name.

During my first year at Jerried’s home, I was very nervous. I often hid under the cabinet all day, only coming out to eat or use the bathroom. After one year, Jerried, Nicole, and I became a family.

I was strong, had a big appetite, and—of course—I was the most handsome rabbit of all. I only went to the bathroom twice a day, always in my crate. I was a very well-behaved rabbit. I also traveled often, and occasionally chewed through hotel electrical cords— a few times, I even singed my whiskers black. Still, I couldn’t help liking those things anyway.

Later, I became very ill. Even when the doctors thought I might not make it, I lived on for three more years. The doctors would often say, “Cooper is still alive.” They said I was very brave.

I went through two surgeries and kept going.

Nicole stayed by my side and cared for me for two years. Later, when Nicole’s mother became ill, she returned to China. Sadly, while I was still alive, I never saw her come back.

During my last year, Jerried took care of me. We became good brothers. He took me to the doctor twice a week while continuing to work. It was very hard for me to leave this home.

The “C” in JCJ is my name. I hope everyone enjoys and loves our clinic.

Once moving to Toronto, Jerried entered the massage therapy program at ICT Kikkawa College. He graduated in 2015 and is fully registered and able to employ his vast experience and knowledge.

  1. Detailed Therapy: Jerried has ten years of massage experience with a background in both Western and traditional Chinese medicine. He has participated in various training courses and mastered multiple massage techniques. Jerried can accurately distinguish between skin, muscles, soft tissues, bones, different layers of fascia, blood vessels, and nerves. He identifies pain points along meridian pathways, discovers underlying issues, and applies various techniques based on different concepts to address complex muscle and joint problems.
  2. Posture Correction: Leveraging a strong foundation in Western medicine and extensive tactile experience, Jerried can identify the positions of muscles, soft tissues, and joints. Through manual techniques on muscles and soft tissues, he corrects the overall posture of the body. This correction often provides rapid relief from long-term pain, leaving the body feeling comfortably relaxed once normal posture is restored.
  3. Meridian Massage: Due to his passion for traditional Chinese medicine, Jerried proficiently understands meridian pathways. He integrates pulse diagnosis and local pulse readings across the body to identify issues with meridian circulation and the flow of qi and blood. He discerns the directions of “Knots and Ropy Tissues”, and their causes, using massage to regulate circulation and ensure smooth and even blood flow for muscle and soft tissues In conclusion, Jerried believes that this meticulous approach to massage can significantly promote the physical health of his clients, achieving optimal health benefits and providing them with an exceptional sense of relaxation and well-being after each massage session.
